Building a sustainable recycling plant for the future

We’re always seeking new ways to improve sustainability at Spectro Alloys. We recently installed a new, state-of-the-art baghouse to reduce emissions – which are already below industry standards – to record lows. This will be our second baghouse replacement in 14 months, with each installation reducing particulate matter by 90%!

The baghouse captures particulates generated during operation through a series of fabric filters – known as bags. These bags allow clean air to pass through the ductwork system which is routinely cleaned to ensure proper maintenance.

“We’re excited to make another proactive investment at our plant,” said Luke Palen, president of Spectro Alloys. “This device enhances our environmental performance and is one of many ways we’re building a recycling plant for the future at Spectro Alloys.”
