Our 2023 highlights included celebrating our 50th anniversary, making significant upgrades to our facilities, and announcing a new, $70 million expansion project that will add a first-of-its-kind aluminum extrusion and sheet recycling facility to our Rosemount campus. The first phase of the project will result in up to 120 million pounds per year of additional recycling capacity and create over 50 new full-time jobs!

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) announced it has acquired a majority stake in Spectro Alloys. The UAE-based EGA is one of the largest premium aluminum producers worldwide, purchasing 80 percent of Spectro Alloys.

Spectro Alloys and The Opus Group, joined by Gov. Tim Walz and Rosemount Mayor Jeff Weisensel, broke ground on a 71 million expansion to add new aluminum recycling capabilities to Spectros Rosemount campus.

Rosemount-based recycling companys Giving Together program supports charities that strengthen the community. Spectro Alloys donated $100,000 to 16 Minnesota nonprofits, ranging from local groups in Dakota County to major state-wide organizations.
